Procedure

       

      

         On Monday, I went to the university to study with my classmate.  First, teacher ordered us to describe about our favorite food. Then we started to learn a Procedure, it is about an instruction belong to a group of text – type concerned with procedure, which tell us how something is accomplished through a sequence of action or steps.

         After that teacher gave exercises for us, it is quite easy because I knew the vocabularies that use in the exercises.  In addition, teacher opened video clip about the exercise which can make we easy to understand. So, we can do it well. I thought today is really nice because the teacher is kind and everything ran smoothly.

Descriptive

      Today I learned a Discourse Approach in Reading. I learned about descriptive, I also learned the meaning of descriptive that is a text which says what a person, a thing or place is like, it can help the reader visualize and understand a topic.

    After that, the teacher gave exercise for my classmate and me. It is about Komodo Dragon, Budapest and Prague. It was quite hard because it had many difficult vocabularies but I tried to find the meaning of them. So, I finished my worksheet.     ^_______^

I thought, if I really try to do something, I can succeed.

Secrets

       

     Today I learned continue from yesterday. We started to learn part two of the Secret story. When I read this story it made me felt more interesting because I wondered what would happen in this story. I tried to understand about this story, teacher told us that we had to discuss with each other and it can made we understand about it. At the end of the class, teacher gave homework for us, she told us that we have to conclude summery of this story. I think, it too hard for us but if we try to do it well, it will be good for us because we not only finish our homework but we also practice ourselves and we can get new skills from this homework.

This summery of the story

Part   I 

Kylie had a trouble with her mother and Philip, so she felt left out from her mother and Philip’s activities. She became interested in the chickens in the yard. Somehow her secret helped her to felt less lonely. She found a second egg and then found out where others were being laid by an unhealthy-looking hen. She felt happy when Philip and her mother left out. She liked to sit on the fence and shared her secret with the hen. She may be thought that the hen is her friend. One day she found well she was forbidden to lift the lid, it was dangerous. Some afternoon she saw a picture in the photo album and miss her father.

Part   II

Two weeks pass. Kylie watched the hen sat on ten eggs and suspected something new would happen. She took the lid out of the well and she started to go down with her photo album every day. She really wanted to know –right then – why her father and mother did not live together it was something she wasn't allowed to know. One day Philip discovered Kylie in the well and hit her. That evening the chicks hatched in the space between the sheet of tin and the back fence – ten of them. At dusk, Kylie put them down the well and then she hit the hen, threw it down the well and began to cry. Before bed, Kylie chose her photo, cut off her head from the photo and threw it away.

Resolution

-         If I were Kylie, I will consult with mother and I won’t harm the hen and chicks, it’s very cruel.

-         If I have problems associate with contemporary family life, I will try to reconcile with family, I do believe it will be better.

    

Narratives

         

On Sunday I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading. I learned the new content, it is Narrative. I learned about the meaning of Narratives, it tells a story about a series of event or actions. The story can be fiction or it can be nonfiction. It may also seek or teach or inform, to embody the writer’s reflections on experience.

          Before we started to learn the teacher gave activity for us, it about similarities or differences in our childhood memories, it’s so good I really like it.Then the teacher gave new worksheet for us, it is the narrative. The name of story is Secret by Tim Winton. It’s really interesting but it’s quite difficult because I didn't understand some words in this story. So, I had to use dictionary to find meaning of the words. I think I have to improve myself to know the meaning of the vocabularies more than this.

Recount 2

             

  Today, my friends and I learned a Recount again. Teacher gave the exercise for us, it is Personal Recount. I also suggested with my friends about an exercise .I think, it was quite easy for me because I understand the words in the exercise. Then the teacher gave homework for, it is about writing Personal Recount. I think today is a nice day because I can do my exercise and the teacher is really nice and kind.

Recount

           

           On Sunday, I went to learn at the Trawarawadee building, it is a luxurious building.  Today we learned about a Recount, it is the unfolding of a sequence of events over time, it has three types such as Personal Recount, Factual Recount and Imaginative Recount. I also learned about the meaning and how to use three types of a Recount. Then the teacher gave an exercise for us  ,it was  quite hard for me because  some  words  in this exercise I cannot understand, so I had to use  dictionary  to  find the meaning  of the words and I finished my  exercise. I was happy because today I knew lot of new vocabularies.

Course introduction

           

             On Monday, We started to learn at 8.30 and then teacher distributed course outline for friends and me. After that teacher explained about a Discourse Approach in Reading subject .Then we learned about discourse markers the teacher taught me about how to use a discourse markers and gave homework for us. In that time, I thought that this subject is too difficult for me but I will try to understand.
